Keeping up with hydration…

Dear Diary,

One of my favorite gals, SFG Valorie, posted on our facebook page recently about staying hydrated.  And I feel like many of us find ourselves in the same dilemma… by the end of the day, most of us haven’t consumed half of the water our body requires.  Be honest with yourself… you have the best intentions, but life gets in the way… we become distracted and too busy to take care of ourselves in the purest and simplest fashion.

It’s no trend, staying hydrated results in CLEARER & HEALTHIER SKIN, BETTER DIGESTION, and MORE EFFECTIVE WORKOUTS.  Dehydration is no joke, our body requires 8 glasses of water a day… but if you’re like me (or Valorie), it’s hard to keep track of how much we’re REALLY drinking… I decided to take control… and make it fun!

I love the chalkboard paint trend– you can put it on anything for a creative and personal flair… I bought cheap (but classic) glasses from target and decided to decorate with chalkboard paint in order to keep track of how many glasses of water I am having each day… a healthy reminder to drink more every chance I get!

mix the chalkboard paint well… tape the sides of your glass (I know it doesn’t look pretty– but the end result will) and brush on the paint!

Let it dry and set for 24 hours (just to be safe) and the result will be a glammed up twist– I even did it to my coffee mug so my boyfriend couldnt steal my favorite cup of joe in the morning :)… the perfect solution when you have guests over too– just write everyone’s initials to keep track of whose cup is whose!

This chore is now fun… I can tally up the numbers, write a bold reminder and keep myself in check!

Making sure I have a glass after the gym…

exercise pick better

finish another glass before heading out for work…

and finish up my last glass before bed…

Wow, that’s a big glass – which is great! It is such a good idea and water does have amazing benefits! That’s a goal that is great for the mind and the body, thank you!
